This is the Upstairs suite at Rose Lake Cottage.

As you can see we have added a few things that a man would enjoy in this otherwise very femine suite. I asked my hubby what he would like to find in a B&B and he said a big screen tv and a pool table. So these items are from Designer Dave.

UP ON MY ROOF BALCONY

Come onto the rooftop balcony just off the Guest Room of our home in Odessa. When we designed the house we wanted as many rooms to face the lake as possible. This sunny balcony is my favorite retreat. The look was different last week during the rain. But we are back to normal now. We are working on offering this room with Dave's fishing guide work. We are also known as Lace and Lures....hmmmm wonder why Lace? This was just another beautiful picture of the lake.
Have you ever dreamed of having a guest in your home. I would love to have Rachael Ashwell and JoAnne Colletti come visit. Both of these creative ladies have inspired me. I seem to drink in what they do.
Yesterday I opened a Dove chocolate and there was a promise on the wrapper and it said,
"If they can do it, You know you can ." I have held on to that wrapper for inspiration.

It seemed like the perfect night to light candles and sit and dream.
One day in the future this table will seat guests that will enjoy their wonderful Romantic Retreat.

A Balcony View from My Upper Room

This is the view from our upstairs guest room. I find that the serenity of this water view inspires me to pray. I remember my mother taking me to the beach and she would say to place your cares on the waves and let God take them away. Cast all your cares! This is sometimes hard. Casting, as my husband knows it, requires much force. And just like a fisherman we often draw what we cast right back again. This has been my state for awhile now. Seeming to know exactly what I needed, my very dear friend Jane invited myself and another friend to her brother's beach condo for a few days. We laughed and enjoyed our lovely time there and while on the shoreline I sent out my cares on the waves that day. Returning home I was so refreshed. As morning came I went up to my Upper Room and enjoyed this view once more.
The water was calm. And He met me there.
